Noisy Neighbors: How to Deal with

After such a long day, you surely just want to lay and rest yourself in bed. You may also have a quality time with family or loved ones in your fully-decorated apartment. However, there may come your noisy next-door who can ruin it all.

Before knocking on their door, you can try these little things to minimize the noise that comes to your apartment.

Try Putting on Sound Absorbers

Unwanted sound can come from excessively loud music or their noisy talking. One of the solutions is putting on sound absorbers inside your apartment to block them all. You can buy it in a building & construction store or just contact your apartment office to get them. It’s preferable if it can enhance your decoration as well.

Compared to living in a landed house, living in an apartment probably needs you to have an extra dose of patience regarding noisy neighbors. Besides coming through the wall, the noise can also travel through the door and floor. After placing sound absorbers on your wall, you can try putting a thick carpet on your floor. It’s even better to have sound absorbers placed on your door’s ventilation. Well, you do use the air conditioner, don’t you?

Meet Them in Person

If all those efforts don’t make any better and you are not comfortable with your above/below unit as well as your right/left next doors, maybe it’s the time to see them face-to-face. Talk to them directly and hopefully, they will understand the noise you’re currently worried about.

One Last Resort: Report it

No need to call the police for noisy neighbors, obviously. You can just call the apartment management regarding the issue. Surely they will create a solution for you all. Well, it’s unlikely that you are the first one to have this kind of problem, isn’t it?
